Okay. So they're making an m1. Pretty cool right? Except... its an aeg. Its only gonna have the regular 8rd clips. Why wouldn't they just make a gas gun?

Questions? Comments? Pie?

Is it blowback? what version gearbox is it, Ver. 7? and does it shot shooting on an empty mag? I would imagine theres no "M1 PING" either.

I would not know what type of gearbox. most likely a version 7 yes. It has an 8mm gearbox.

Because, the gas versions are expensive as hell - and not very useful to skirmish with.

A lot of people are really looking forward for this. =)

8 rounds is kinda harsh for an aeg... I guess they can please the milsim junkies and sell a whole lot of mags that way.

Do you forget that you live in the northern United States? With gas guns out of the question a third of the year? Naw, no thanks.

Plus the Garand is a great choice - we already know how to fit a V7 into a M14 body, there's a lot of similarities. Also, instead of paying $40+ for current Garand gas magazines, being able to buy two-for-$15 is an extreme incentive for general collectors and reenactors to pick one up.

Not to mention I'm hearing whispers of 8mm. Maybe this would be enough to kick some companies asses into making us some decent 8mm bb's, I know I'm not the only one dying to see high-weight 8's.

They should've made it co2 with regular spring mags.

The only way that would even mildly interest me if they somehow fit an 88gram cylinder in the stock - then we're talking.

@Mac I have a 88g in my one Gas Shotgun, still kills it in the cold as it is mostly metal surrounding it. There was a air link mod for it, but no where close to get a tank filled.

I think the ICS version of the M1 will be incredible. 8rd clip will get the job done. Look at a Decent Sniper rifle with 15 rounds. And being 8mm will be the bomb. Getting Companies to make good 8mm BBs will be the trick though.

The Clip idea though will make it a different type of design and if it is EBB and has a clip, the only gotcha will be the ejected shell casing. If it is a solid clip with 8 shells that each hold a BB and then ejects, maybe better.

I am thinking I will be all over this. Laughing
